Been rather busy lately with lots of different things . . .

Working on some artwork for Melbourne band 'Varliiba' and it has been a long process, but an enjoyable one. The brief was all about trees and Earthiness, then the brief changed slightly to incorporate ghostly women, and some other elements, and then taking some of those elements back out again. . . .and back and forth we go. Don't get me wrong, it's all fun for me because I get presented with visual puzzles to solve. The drawing in the background is one I did about 5 years ago, a pretty standard affair that I did while working a midnight shift, mainly to curb the onset of insanity. This was manipulated digitally, and also covered with a watercolour wash as well. The image of the 'ghost' shown here is from a painting I did around 12-13 years ago, which I lifted out and colour corrected into the landscape. it's all pretty metal, which is interesting for me because it's really not where my head is at musically.

I have also been having some fun with digital imagery. These images are from the film 'Bladerunner' . . .I would like to apply this concept to band photography, or band photos to some extent, as I think it could work without looking too much like the work Rob Sheridan does with NIN.
